Migorie, Kenya
We have started the following:
Carol’s Orphanage , Pastor’s School, Children’s Ministry, Medical.
Hands On Missions-Africa, Andre Delport-Director
We started in
1997 with investigative outreaches in Suna-Migori, a remote part of
Kenya to reach the local population by working in schools,
orphanages, open air rallies and conferences. We discovered that
there were: inadequate follow up resources, untrained pastors, and
destitute children. We found that diseases such as HIV/Aids,
malaria, typhoid, polio, hepatitis and tuberculosis, complicate life
and ministry.
In January 2000
the Lord led us to begin a local Bible School and lectures commenced
in August 2000 with 25 students. In November 2002, 21 of these
students graduated with a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry. In
November 2002, 16 of the graduates enrolled in the B.Th. Degree.
Students are required to complete 20 subjects for the Certificate
Course (2 years) and an additional 20 for the B.Th. Degree. At
present there are approximately 150 students. In 2002, the Lord
opened the door for the Carol’s Orphanage Home. We have
approximately 50 children in our care. In September of 2005 we
opened the health Center where a full time medical person serves to
meet the medical needs of the people.
